2020 SVALBARD ARCTIC POLAR BEAR EXPEDITION
Svalbard Archipelago | August 8 - 18th, 2020
High Arctic Polar Bear & Wildlife Photo Tour
Join Chase and Natural World Safaris from the ultimate High Arctic Photography Experience. A 10 day trip focusing on Polar Bears and all other Arctic wildlife and Arctic land and seascapes.
Each day we are in transit on board the Kinfish ship visiting the fjords of Svalbard searching for Polar Bears. We have breakfast, then get ready to go on a zodiac cruise or even to do a zodiac cruise and an easy hike. Depending on where we spot wildlife, that will determine the zodiac cruises.
The Polar Bears are wandering the coastlines in search of food during the month of August. We have previously seen sows and cubs, and varying sizes of male Polar Bears. Although the chances of seeing Polar Bears are very good, this is wildlife and they are unpredictable for where they'll be. There is absolutely no guarantee as we do not bait the wildlife.
Other wildlife encounters that we have experienced include bearded seals, hooded seals, reindeer, Arctic fox, walrus, blue whales and Arctic birds.
Accommodations are onboard the Kinfish Ship as this is a ship based expedition! The ship features two gathering lounging areas, the eating area, a beautiful bridge and surrounding perimeter platform.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are scheduled throughout the day and provided by the professional Chef onboard the Kinfish ship. Alcoholic beverages are available in the evenings
Photography instruction before we head out in the field and post editing instruction using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Guided by Chase Teron and taught upstairs in the lounge area on a projection screen for everyone to see.
To book please fill out the booking request and we will connect you to the Natural World Safaris booking team. Visit Natural World Safaris for additional information.

Frequently Asked Questions: Artica Adventures
Are you tours just for photographers?
No, not at all! Our trips are approximately 50/50% split of photographers and non-photographers. These trips are called photo tours as Jenni and I are instructing photography lessons hands on while we explore and sail. We have non-photographers (with iPhones, etc), beginners to expert photographers on our trips. It's the perfect learning grounds where you get to immerse yourself in nature and be surrounded by great people.
Why Artica Studios Adventure Photo Tours vs. Other Tours?
Jenni and I are so passionate about our tours we take small groups that are more intimate where we can connect with each one of our guests. We also pride ourselves on taking you to these remote locations that are extremely difficult to get to and otherwise unaffordable. Our tours are never over-priced as we want you to have a life changing experience and for you to share your experience (and photos) with family and friends and for them to be able to afford to have their own Artica Adventure experience.
Our tours are not just photography workshops, they are life changing experiences that will shape you as a person. Whatever your current understanding is of photography, our workshops will help you improve in a variety of areas, including composition, editing, business acumen, personal style development, work flow and more!
We are looking for positive, like-minded people to join our trips as it is most often the people who make the experience and everything else is just a bonus. We love animals and the environment and we care deeply about creating inspiration and action to help make the world a better place.
Let's fall in love with the High Arctic together!
