JOIN US SEPT 21-25, 2025 IN THE

KLAHOOSE TERRITORY, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA

Visiting British Columbia, Canada is a dream experience for many world travelers who are looking for nature, adventure and Indigenous cultural experiences.

We have all three experiences packed into 4 incredible days.

Yekwamen (Toba Inlet), on the edge of the Great Bear Rainforest is the southern most point for grizzly bear viewing and one of the best places for bear viewing due to the remote location, intimate viewing area and consistent bear sightings.

You will make your way from Powell River to Toba Inlet where we may witness stellar sea lions, orcas, humpbacks and porpoises and breathtaking seasonal waterfalls cascading down the mountainsides through the rainforest into the ocean inlets.

Located on a remote inlet within the Klahoose First Nation traditional territory, tours are led by Indigenous guides along with your professional photography instructors Chase, Jenni and Tyler.

Your professional photography guides will help you capture the best photographs of grizzly bears by instructing you before each excursion, while in the field (techniques, settings, composition) and helping you with editing while enjoying our luxury resort stay.

Why artica photo tours are different...

Be part of the difference - Artica tours are a unique experience, from the exclusive small group size, ethical approach to wildlife photography,  award winning photographers as your guides, and always supporting the local population.

Highlights from Our 2024 Grizzly Tour

Artica Studios' last expedition to the Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia was nothing short of a nature lover's dream. Over the course of four unforgettable days, travelers were treated to a trifecta of experiences: immersing themselves in the pristine wilderness, embarking on thrilling adventures, and delving into Indigenous culture.

The journey took them to the far reaches of the Great Bear Rainforest to a remote enclave which boasts an intimate viewing area, ensuring guests an up-close encounter with these majestic creatures. Grizzly sightings were not just frequent but spectacular. We were treated to a mesmerizing spectacle of marine life, and the icing on the cake was the seasonal waterfalls, gracefully descending from lush mountainsides into the ocean inlets.

Chase, Jenni, and Tyler primed participants with photography techniques and settings and also provided hands-on assistance in the field. Whether it was perfecting composition or refining post-production edits, these experts ensured that every photograph captured the essence of the Great Bear Rainforest's grizzlies and its breathtaking surroundings. All of this was enjoyed within the comforts of a luxurious resort, rounding off an unforgettable journey into one of Canada's most remarkable natural wonders.
