Here are our guest photos and some of our tour leader photos from our photography tour off of Vancouver Island to photograph grizzly bears fishing for salmon and grizzlies swimming in turquoise blue waters in Toba Inlet.

This photography tour took place September 24-28, 2023 in the Klahoose Territory in partnership with Klahoose Wilderness Resort.

The highlights were seeing the mom and cub back to back days, the group camaraderie, the humpback whales and the food!

During this photo tour we had rainy, overcast weather which caused the Klyte River to be very high, fast and caused some erosion and trees to fall into the river.

This made for difficult conditions for the grizzly bears to fish, but we still managed to see and photograph these grizzlies fishing salmon during the run. Because there are elevated, covered tours, our group was able to photograph and witness the grizzlies without any problems with water.
